The Waikiki Landmark high-rise condo complex is comprised of two towers joined together, capped off with five floors of penthouses. Waikiki Landmark is recognized for comfort, luxury, and amenities, and the views of the ocean, Waikiki, and the mountains are incredible. The rooftop of the parking structure is an amazing outdoor recreation deck with two spas, a waterfall, and three pools – one of them Olympic-sized with a wave design. The homeowners association board of the Waikiki Landmark had a desire to provide a cutting-edge fitness center for their owners. They wanted to expose their residents to the latest advances in cardio fitness. Board members were looking for a streamlined design with low-rise decks, easy-to-read consoles, and a variety of entertainment options on the touchscreen, along with exercise tracking to allow their residents to reach their fitness goals.
Precor authorized representative, Chad May, with Commercial Fitness Equipment, worked with their architect to design a beautiful yet functional space. Chad wanted to develop a solution that would incorporate all of their goals while providing the best Precor equipment to their members to help them live happier and healthier lives.
In order to do so, he presented to the board, 2D and 3D renderings of the solutions he felt would best fit their needs. The board made the decision to install P82 networked consoles to allow residents access to entertainment apps such as Netflix® , RunTV, Spotify® , and more. To meet the need for a clear functional training space with storage, the Queenax® One was the answer, along with a variety of Discovery™ and Vitality™ Series strength products. Not stopping there, they went above and beyond to ensure they were providing their residents with the best fitness center in Waikiki, and installed a custom sound system, light features, and a water filtration system.
Since installing the new equipment, the Waikiki Landmark General Manager has expressed that Precor “worked with us from concept, to the final product. Their insight and consultation help assured that the equipment chosen was a perfect fit for the client’s expectations.”
