5 Health and Fitness Experts to Follow on Twitter

Twitter is an amazing place if you're looking for health and fitness content, with users sharing links and advice 24/7. So whether you're just getting started on Twitter or you're looking for some new users to help populate your feed (don't forget about us!), we've picked out five of our favorite health and fitness experts to follow.

Cynthia Sass

You might recognize Sass, as she's made appearances on numerous shows such as "Good Morning America," "Dr. Oz," and "The Biggest Loser." She has master degrees in both nutrition science and public health, is a New York Times best-selling author, and is the nutrition consultant to both the NHL's New York Rangers and MLB's Tampa Bay Rays. On Twitter, she regularly shares interesting studies and interacts with her followers.

Adam Bornstein

Bornstein is the former Editorial Director for Livestrong.com, one of the most respected health and fitness websites out there, so you know he's tweeting great content. He's also a New York Times best-selling author and now runs Born Fitness. Even though he has over 45,000 followers, Bornstein still adds to the fitness conversation on Twitter by interacting with other users on a regular basis (just check out the hashtag #askborn).

Kelly Olexa

Olexa is the founder and CEO of FitFluential, the popular network of health and fitness bloggers. She's social media savvy and constantly interacts with her followers on Twitter, though you'll also find fitness motivation, FitFluential information, and much more.

Tyler Graham

Graham is a nutrition coach and has worked as an editor at The Oprah Magazine, Prevention, Best Life, and Men's Journal. His Twitter feed is full of links to great health, fitness, and nutrition-related stories. While it isn't common for him to tweet others back, he occassionally will.

Amanda Vogel

Vogel is the owner of a writing, editing, and consulting service specializing in the fitness industry. She's the author of two books, and has written for several magazines. When it comes to Twitter, she's one of our favorite follows because of her feed's great mix of links, advice, and interactions.
