About Precor: Precor Gives
Giving at Precor Comes from the Heart
At Precor, we recognize the importance of strong communities and the role that charitable organizations play as a safety net for so many people, animals and the environment.
That’s why, in 2006, we established the Precor Gives program.
Created to allow Precor employees to give to the charity of their choice, Precor Gives currently supports more than 70 organizations with 501(c)3 status, such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, American Diabetes Association, Audubon Society, Habitat for Humanity and World Vision. We also support local organizations such as local Boys & Girls Clubs, Northwest Harvest, Homeward Pet Adoption and the Coastal Conservation Association.
Precor Gives matches employee contributions, dollar for dollar up to $5,000 per employee, per year. Since its introduction in 2006, Precor Gives has grown each year as more employees choose to give from the heart.
Precor Employees Reduce Commute Trips
Since 1998, Precor has joined other businesses throughout Washington state in an effort to reduce commute trips and vehicle miles traveled, by joining the Washington State Commute Trip Reduction Program.
Statewide more than 1,000 companies, representing 500,000 employees, are committed to helping lessen traffic congestion without building new roads.
To help promote this effort, Precor offers incentives to employees who use one or more alternate commute methods at least 10 times per month, whether it is biking, car or vanpooling, taking public transportation, walking or working from home.
Precor Provides Students Every Advantage to Succeed
Through the Precor Education Advantage Scholarship Program, Precor annually awards a $2,000 scholarship to children of employees who have been accepted at an accredited university, college or vocational-technical institute for a degree program. The scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors and current college students.
