Das Sonnreich Thermenhotel in Loipersdorf, Austria is a thermal spa hotel with health, fitness and wellness placed at the centre of its philosophy.
As well as a luxurious spa area with a 38-metre pool, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a samarium (which is similar to a traditional sauna but slightly cooler), the hotel has recently completely upgraded its fitness facilities.
In order to meet increasing demand from hotel guests for high-end equipment suitable for multi-dimensional training, Das Sonnreich Thermenhotel has installed cardio machines from Precor’s 800 line with top of the range P82 consoles in the newly refurbished gym.
Selectorised strength equipment comes from Precor’s Vitality and Discovery lines and there is a multi-station with cable pulls from the Icarian line, dumbbells as well as a half rack with barbells.
“We needed a hotel gym that exceeded all expectations,” says the hotel’s general manager, Sandra Sifkovits. “We want to become a holiday and leisure destination for football and other sports teams, as well as professional athletes. We wanted high-end kit that would mean we are viable to be chosen as the training camp for season preparation as well as by generally active, sporty people.
“To enable us to achieve this, Precor was the best supplier for us as they have already equipped several clubs and sports teams in Europe.”
Precor’s has equipped the German soccer team, Werder Bremen, with SpinningTM bikes and the Austrian soccer team, FK Austria Wien, with strength and cardio equipment.
