Life Health Fitness strives to be a “one stop solution” for all their members’ fitness and wellness needs. They have two locations—one in Whitestone, NY, and one in Astoria, NY, opened August 2015.
With functional fitness becoming a major force in the fitness industry, Life Health Fitness looked at several options before selecting Queenax, Functional Fitness by Precor. Dillon Begovac, General Manager, said, “I like to stay up on trends in the fitness industry. Queenax looked more solid in comparison to other fitness manufacturer’s products on the market”.
For the new Whitestone location, club managers wanted to source equipment that would entice exercisers to become and stay members, be reliable, and easy to maintain for many years.
The biggest challenge facing the Astoria location was how they could differentiate themselves from the competition in their area.
Life Health Fitness partnered with Precor to install four Queenax systems between their two locations: three systems in Whitestone and one in Astoria.
Life Health and Fitness chose these Queenax functional fitness systems: The Format, in its own studio dedicated to personal training for one-on-one and small group training; Wall Solution, situated on the main gym floor close to the strength area for members to use as part of their routines; and, The Bridge, which is set up for group classes including TRX®, yoga, Super Functional™, and metabolic circuits.
To build excitement and knowledge of the products and about functional fitness, a Precor Master Coach spent a full day training the staff: demonstrating how to make the most of the Queenax systems with their clients and members, describing how to use the apps, and leading them in a complete hands-on experience.
Since installing Queenax, Life Health Fitness has seen an increase in functional training, both by their members, who are using it on their own, and by their personal training staff, who have incorporated suspended bodyweight training, boxing bags, and several other apps into their clients’ routines. And the best part? Personal trainers are loving how many new programs they can run with their individual and small group clients, keeping workouts fresh and motivating.
