Anytime Fitness identified the growing town of Jackson, Missouri as a prime location for a new gym; the large local community had no access to a gym and was excited about the prospect of being able easily access a first of its kind facility.
Despite owning another fitness facility in Missouri, the Anytime Fitness franchisee was relatively new to the fitness industry and encountered three key challenges when opening this specific facility:
- The franchisee’s portfolio consisted mainly of non-fitness related businesses and he had inherited the facility that he currently owned, so the franchisee encountered a steep learning curve when it came to all of the details related to opening a gym facility.
- The construction and building processes for opening a gym were complex. In order to open the gym, the franchisee had to navigate the complicated building permitting process.
- In addition to the challenges the franchisee faced when it came to opening the facility itself, the franchisee also needed to figure out a marketing strategy to promote the new location and attract new members.

In addition, the Precor support team handled all of the building permitting and construction processes, ensuring that all aspects of construction were built according to code and handled in a timely fashion. Since Ray East and the Precor support team handled all of the building and installation details, the club owner was able to dedicate his energy toward building out a focused marketing plan to attract new members to the brand new facility.
Anytime Fitness opened its doors to the Jackson community and experienced overwhelming results. The club added 250 membership sign-ups in advance of the grand opening. New members raved about high-quality fitness equipment, particularly the high-quality Discovery Series Plate Loaded Line of strength equipment and sleek Experience Series 830 Line of cardio equipment.
